My story with foster care spans generations. My father, who was taken from this world at just 24 years old, grew up in the foster care system. His life was cut tragically short by violence, but his legacy lives on through this work.
When I found myself navigating the foster care system, I carried the weight of generational trauma and loss. But I also discovered something powerful: makeup became my self-care routine, my moment of control, my way of showing up for myself when the world felt uncertain.
In those quiet moments applying lipstick or perfecting my eyebrows, I wasn't just doing my makeup—I was reclaiming my dignity, building my confidence, and creating a ritual that said "I matter." Beauty became my healing, my voice, and eventually, my mission.

Foster Youth Beauty was born from a deeply personal understanding that foster youth deserve more than just survival—we deserve to thrive. We deserve moments of beauty, dignity, and joy. We deserve to feel seen, valued, and empowered.
This isn't just a beauty brand. It's a movement to break generational cycles of trauma and neglect. It's about honoring my father's memory by creating opportunities he never had. It's about ensuring that no young person in foster care feels invisible or forgotten.
Through our Impact Beauty Products, our annual EXPOs, and our I AM Foster KID program, we're building a community where foster youth aren't just recipients of services—we're leaders, innovators, and change-makers. We're Lived Experts leading from the front.
